Iranian-Afghan film 'Parting' heads to Australia

Iranian-Afghan film ‘Parting’ movie is set to be screened in Australia-based film event next month.

‘Parting’ directed by Navid Mahmoudi will attend the 6th edition of the Persian International Film Festival to be held in the Australian city of Sydney.

The movie produced by Navid’s brother, Jamshid, will take part in the competition section of the event running September 7-10.

The film “follows young Afghans in love and on the move. Years after the woman leaves the country with her parents to seek refuge in Iran, her admirer seeks her out for a journey to Turkey, Europe and a better life,” a brief synopsis read.  

The movie has made presence felt at several international venues, including 2016 Busan International Film Festival where the flick won a special mention.
